“A Moment in Time” art exhibition launches at PNCA

Jimmy Engineer, Rahat Naveed Masud & Amna Pataudi present evocative masterpieces in a must-see exhibition

Exhibition “A Moment in Time” featuring the works by Amna I. Pataudi, Jimmy Engineer, and Rahat Naveed Masud opens today at PNCA. “A Moment in Time” art exhibition is a collaborative effort between PNCA and ForArtSake. ForArtSake has worked with PNCA on many projects, and their creative out of the box endeavors bring another dimension to the art scene.
Three senior artists who have individually made giant strides have come together to showcase this exhibition “A Moment in Time”. Jimmy Engineer is a social worker and an artist par excellence who has produced many masterpiece series. Perhaps his best series is about Partition, and his paintings of that time resonate with the current political situation. It is poignant that the images of 1947 seem to once again seem so relevant.
Rahat Naveed Masud is an artist and academic whose masterful portraiture captures the mood of the artist and ambience of the surrounding environment. This exhibition represents a distinct segment of her repertoire – her self-portraits. She is the only artist in Pakistan who has painted such a large body of self-portraits. These paintings carry subtle undertones of social and political context. Each painting is a moment in time of Rahat’s life.
Amna Ismail Pataudi is an excellent artist with a soul that melts and becomes one with the landscapes. Her prowess as a portrait painter is unparalleled. She has painted the harrowing events of Army Public School, Peshawar, the soul-numbing tragedy of Gaza, and the Indian atrocities in held Kashmir.
These three titans are not only great artists but good human beings and very close friends. This exhibition is a smorgasbord of fine art and deep human feelings under one roof from which viewers will take back good memories.

The exhibition is open for the public until 12th May 2025. Timings 10 am to 4 pm.
